It was another happy day at the office, I was working, singing, dancing, you know? casual and normal stuff, then, my friend Sabil told me about a race in San Francisco, a 12km race, uhm, interesting, What's the name of that? "Bay to breakers" he said, sounds good, and it's 12km, I've been running 10km, so 2 more, I think I can do that in one and a half week of training, so, let's do that! I said.
The next day, Sabil told me, "hey, I hear that bay to breakers it's like a funny race, people go wearing funny clothes, and they drink the whole run!, dafuq!!! I said politely, I'm not going to run and get drunk at the same time! fuck that shit! (politely again). Dude! Sabil said, but there's a subset of people who actually runs! We can be on that subset and then drink after the race! , that my friend, sounds awesome.
The next day we start studying the elevation, holy spider monkey!!!! there's a hill! a San Francisco hill I'm gonna die!!!! It's not that bad, it's just 2 miles going uphill, not that bad?? I'm going to be walking that part!
Anyway, I've been thinking about how to do the uphill part, and I'm sure it's going to be hard, but, I think I can finish the race, that's the purpose, to finish the race, it doesn't matter how long it takes!
It's going to be cool and fun, I just need to stay "zen" during the infamous Hayes hill, music is going to be key on this, so wish me luck and I hope not to throw up the breakfast while going uphill :S
My dear readers, this is going to be my first run, I never done that before, it's a 12k and I'm training for a half marathon in July.
